Dear Neighbor,
One day it just happens. It seems like out of nowhere but has probably been a long time coming. Someone needs help. It could be someone in your family, or a friend, an acquaintance or a colleague, or it could even be you. Where does this person go when they need help staying off of alcohol and/or drugs or help with a gambling addiction?
Twelve Step programs have long been a reliable resource for assisting people in need of changing their lives for the better. Twelve Step programs are known for changing lives and for making productive and creative lives a reality.
We are here to help. The Arrid Club is a non-profit organization serving the Hemet/San Jacinto Valley for over 40 years by providing safe space for Twelve Step programs to meet. Thousands are leading productive, vibrant lives in this area due to the continued support of the Arrid Club and the Twelve-Step environment. The Valley is a safer place to live when those who need our services get them and are able to rejoin the workforce as taxpayers, consumers and good citizens.
We, the Board of Directors of the Arrid Club, now need your help. We want the Club to be capable of maintaining safe, comfortable rooms for rent for the Twelve Step meetings for folks who need this service. The government doesn’t pay for this. Twelve Step meetings began during the Great Depression when we the people banded together to help ourselves, and it is in that spirit that they continue. The recent Great Recession has shown itself as a lack of contributions by the still suffering, yet we intend to continue to keep the doors open but we need your help. Won’t you please consider a sustaining membership in the Arrid Club at a cost of $100 a year as your insurance for your family, your friends, your acquaintances, your colleagues and yourself. If a membership is not a possibility a tax-deductible donation would be greatly appreciated. Make a donation directly.
